It has been quite a journey these past few months, and I have some exciting news–this draft of Battle Scars is now done! I am hopeful that the book will be done and out for your reading pleasure by the end of this year or early next year. Battle Scars has been quite a challenge, as the story is more complicated than the first one and there are three stories to keep track of instead of the main and minor side stories that I focused on in Battle Lines. To tide you over, here are some hints as to where the characters will be in the long-awaited sequel:
Banju and Stonner will be embarking on a secret mission to try to uncover lost magical items that might be able to help them against a new threat to Shallor. Rik and his friends will be dealing with an enemy of their own, and the king will be preparing the land for the possibility of war.
I am excited with how the story is turning out, and I look forward to sharing it with you all!
In other news, the audiobook version of Battle Lines is still in the works and should be coming out before the sequel, so if you would like a refresher before the new book, this will be the perfect opportunity!
